Platform heels

Bring your evening attire to new heights with a pair of sky-high platforms. We’ve seen them on the runway for Versace for a while and the trend is showing no signs of disappearing anytime soon. It’s a flattering show that brings a bit of stomp and determination to any outfit. Look out for different colors and materials and an ankle strap to get the edgy Barbie look just right.

90’s mules 

Mules have and will always be a classic. They’ve become quite the wardrobe staple after Bottega Veneta came out with the iconic quilted style and ever since the 90s aesthetic became hot commodity earlier in 2022. 

The shoe is defined by a low-to-mid heel height and is kept on without fastenings or laces, meaning they’re super easy to slip on. This winter you can add all the twists you want! Go for a pop of color for your night out, add a bit of sparkle with a glittery strap or do something completely different. The world’s your oyster. 

Ankle strap detailing 

An anklet but attached to your shoe – the perfect way to carry one of summer's biggest trends into the colder season. Ankle straps can be found on many different styles of shoes – ballet flats, platforms a la Versace, pumps, you name it. This is also a subtle way of adding a bit of sparkle to your outfit as this is perfect for dresses or pants (even jeans!). 

Pointed toe shoes

Pointed toes are back! The 90s and 80s have made quite the comeback this year and with that comes the pointes toe. The style makes both flat and heeled shoes instantly elegant so no matter if you’re going to a dinner or out dancing, you’ll be looking your absolute best in this style of shoes. They also instantly elongate your legs, which makes them the perfect companion for a night out. 

Mary Janes 

This old classic – you might know from school uniforms – has gotten an adult twist. We’re of course talking about Mary Janes. Normally they’re black, flat and have a simple strap, but when you look for the perfect shoe to go out in during winter, you won’t be lacking more out there variations like high heels with platforms, different colors and sparkly buckles. This is a great way to combine two other trends for the winter – ankle straps and platform heels! The shoe provides a mature look with preppy undertones.

Wedges

If you love the look of heels but not necessarily the stability of them, wedges might just be for you. The height is more evenly distributed making them the perfect go to for beginners. They’ve been spotted on the runways at Acne, Fendi and Versace so don’t fret if you’re not a beginner but still love the look of a nice wedge heel. 

Brands have initially taken a liking to a narrower and more sculptural shape and silhouette than you might recognize from your childhood or adolescence, but with the amount of people who’ve jumped on the trend, it’s safe to think, you’ll be seeing a lot of different variations of the wedge in a short amount of time.
