As guests made their way up to the 25th floor of the Hudson Commons to view Longchamp’s show (among them Kendall Jenner, who is the face of the brand), we got a sneak peek at what would shortly feature on the runway. For her FW20 collection, Sophie Delafontaine reimagined the Roseau and Le Pliage, and nearly every style setter in attendance arrived with one of the (not-so-new) bags in hand.

Originally released in the ‘90s, the two styles have since earned ‘IT bag’ status and become staples of the Parisian brand. Coveted for their bamboo-like toggle (roseau translates to ‘reed’) and foldable body (pliage translates to ‘to fold’), Delafontaine has kept their most famous features but has rescaled both. Creating micro and macro versions of each, she has given Longchamp’s bestselling bags a modern makeover.

Take a look at the Roseau and Le Pliage re-editions, as spotted before they took their places in the FROW.
