Gucci Bardot

Feminine, curvy and glamorous – these are the words most used to describe the Gucci Bardot bag. The Bardot bag is, as the name implies, named after the trendsetting actress and model Brigitte Bardot and the bag’s curvy silhouette is said to be inspired by Bardot as well.

More about Gucci Bardot

Guccio Gucci opened his first Gucci shop in Florence in 1921 that primarily sold leather goods and bags. The Italian fashion house quickly became popular and could within a few years expand their catalogue to also include trunks, gloves, shoes and belts. After World War II Gucci was able to open new stores in Milan, New York, London, Palm Beach, Paris and Beverly Hills.

Gucci has since become synonymous with timeless elegance as Jacqueline Kennedy, Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, Petter Sellers and Samuel Beckett were big fans of the brand in the 1960s.

The Gucci Bardot bag has two dual rolled straps that make it ideal to wear either as a handbag or casually over the shoulder. The Bardot bag is closed with Gucci’s signature Piston closure on the front and has a single pocket with a zip on the interior wall. The interior is lined with fabric and the bag has a studded bottom.

The Gucci Bardot bag is perfect for everyday use as it measures 25 x 31 x 9 cm and can hold your essentials and then some.

The Bardot bag from Gucci comes in leather, canvas and suede and in a lot of different colors – all very muted and elegant. The canvas bag comes in both solid colors as well as with Gucci’s famous diamanté print.
